Hi again, ,

Yes, I have had haematuria since 1994. It was thoroughly investigated

then and the only conclusion was that I had fragile tissue in the

kidneys. Remember I was not diagnosed with EDS until 1999. Only after

the diagnosis did this fall into place. I have stopped taking

anti-inflamatory drugs and rarely take pain killers for this reason. I

also have to watch that I don't do too heavy physical work as this also

causes more blood to pass through the membranes.

Thanks, Lilian--I just had never heard of spontaneous internal bleeding due

to EDS before, except for large bleeds such as aneurysms, etc. I sure had

heavy periods, though. I think if I hear enough from people, I will

definitely have to share this with my urologist. Also a good topic for the

conference this year. Thanks!
