I've recently had some dental work done, taken my LDN and had the Novacaine and no problems.

Either way, do you really want your teeth drilled without a local anesthetic? If you're taking your LDN the night before, it probably wouldn't effect the Lidocaine much, if at all.Art

THANX EVERYONE - all the advice and testimonies have been well received & will consider them all!! the composite material for fillings seems logical to me, as i have 2 composite-front top teeth!! one i needed from a fall that cracked a tooth; the other was from a dark spot that was leading, no doubt, to a cavity!! had not problems with that material; but forgot i couldn't BITE hard stuff with them; and now, need more work done in that area, again. i chipped a big hunk out of one & now have another brown spot in the other!! will ask about the composite material for the refills from now on!! but, i wonder about chewing on hard items!!

I think the lidocaine shots contain ?epinepherine?...

Dentists do have lower epinepherine (or whatever chemical that is that makes

your heart beat too fast etc) shots - they take a bit longer to work I hear, and

maybe they have some without any.  They use that for people with mitral valve

prolapse.

I was sick, had an infected tooth & mycoplasma pneumonia a couple of weeks

ago.

I'd been exhausted, couldn't do anything but feed the kids and the most

important laundry and dishes, and even that was killing me.  I got the shot for

the dentist to start working on my tooth (forgot to mention I needed the low

dose shot and doc forgot too), and felt it kick in.  I came home and had the

house clean, dishes done, food in the oven, and prepared all the clothes & meds

for the next week in advance before I came down.  Usually I just feel so much

anxiety from the shot that I consider it the worst part of any dental visit, but

this time I just had so much relief from the pain, and the anxiety didn't

happen, just a burst of energy.  Happened twice - the dentist, and the

endodontist.  I go again next week and am looking forward to finding out if I

can clean my basement now.

I'd bet it was the shot.  It probably doesn't have much in the way of long-term

consequences...

Subject: Dental Visit

So... I asked last month if any of your kids had issues with Valium at the

dentist office. My son had one more filling yesterday. He did not have Valium or

nitrous this time. He was a completely different kid. He only had the Novocaine

gel on his gum with the Lidocaine injection. However, after the visit he kept

running from me and was hyper. I don't know if it was the red dye in the numbing

gel (it was hot pink) or something else? Any suggestions? We have two more appt.

just to place the caps on. Thanks.
