Guest guest
I take Natural Factors double strength acidophilus & bifidus. One capsule has 10 billion active cells. It costs about $30 for 180 capsules Take care, Ute At 05:47 PM 6/19/2009, you wrote: >Can anyone recommend a good probiotic that is reasonably priced? Guest guest
Hello, Bee has removed probiotics from her program, see here:http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro2.php " The body is smart enough to create any probiotics required, when, and if, needed, just like it balances out all nutrients if given " proper nutrients " (diet plus supplements). Also probiotics taken by mouth couldn't reach the large intestines where they are " supposedly " needed, since probiotics can only be implanted in the large intestines with an enema. " Sauerkraut is excellent for balancing stomach acid, aiding digestion and assisting those of us weaning ourselves off acid reflux medication. It is not necessary as a probiotic. Hope that helps, andra, a group moderator Having saurkraught 1X a day is that enough probiotic?
Guest guest
There must be lots of good probiotics out there, but may I suggest a product called Colostrum Plus Candida by Symbiotics. It has at least 20 strains, including four bifido bacteria, in addition to Colostrum. I like this product very much. Speaking of Colostrum, I agree with Wil that one should be careful about the source of colostrum. However, as to whether it MUST come from New Zealand, I'm not sure. Symbiotics used to get all its colostrum from New Zealand....however the company was sold to a big corporation and now their retail colostrum comes from organically certified American dairies.  To get the New Zealand stuff, you have to go through a doctor of some sort. I used to take the " professional " formula (through the doctor), but I tried the stuff off the shelf, the American kind, and found it be be just as if not more effective. American organic dairies are required to give their cows a certain amount of time at pasture. Not as much as in New Zealand, probably, but some.... anyway that's more info than you wanted, sorry.... I also like MegaFlora...also about 20 strains but only 3 bifido. Then there's Udo's SuperBifido! God, I love probiotics! Another advantage to these two is that they use no filler at all, no starch or anything that aggravates my candida. The Colostrum Plus Candida does have some rice starch in it, which worries me, but it seems to help me anyway....sometimes I take it and sometimes I take just straight colostrum. ________________________________ From: <daisytiff228@...> candidiasis Sent: Tue, August 17, 2010 2:05:31 PM Subject: Probiotic  Can anyone suggest a good probiotic? Guest guest
I used to get my colostrum from Symbiotics till they switched to the American crap. I actually visited one of the diaries in Arizona, what a joke. I get mine from New Zealand, I have not found any better. And no, organic diaries do not have to have pastures as of yet. That depends on who is doing the certifying. I carry several probiotics. My 100+ Probiotic Solution has literally 102 strains of soil borne organisms. My Transcendental GI Cleanse has 230 strain of soil borne organisms. These probiotics not only build your immunity they are natural chelator of heavy metals, pesticides and petro-chemicals. Guest guest
Hi , This is the one I have been using for about 15 years now. It was developed by enzyme specialist Viktoras Kulvinskas ( " father of raw foods " and author of " Survival Into the 21st Century " , and other books) and Dr. Khem Shahani, a food scientist. It also has a PREbiotic blended in (Jerusalem artichoke), and also contains nutrient-dense edible microalgae - which gives the enzymes something to grow on. http://tinyurl.com/6gzqa Also, scroll down to the bottom of that page and click on the link for more information about probiotics - excellent article. Guest guest
> > It has S.Boulardii which is hard to find & prevents C.Diff. Â It is the key bacteria in preventing the infection. just for the record, S(accharomyces) Boulardii are yeast (fungi), not bacteria. They are related to S. cerevisiae, that are used for baking and brewing. S.B. will compete with other less friendly yeasts like Candida. I don't think SB is of specific help against Clostridium, but probiotics that combine bacteria (e.g. Lactobacillus) and yeast is usually better than probiotics with just a few bacterial species.
