This group had just sent e-mails for two weeks as I have been on bed-rest for three weeks as I cannot bear weight or it goes in spasm again. The physical therapist measured my area, since it is a triangular muscle and the sciatica runs right through it. Most people who have this condition also feel one leg is shorter than the other. Mine is. It is called " the pain in the butt syndrome " . I like you encourage anyone with symptoms of sciatic to check this piriformis syndrome out. Physical therapists are usually individuals who know how to test for it. I will be having a thinner sliced CT than before to check and see what nerve impingement is going on and I hopefully can get an muscle release soon. Always ask for physical therapists that know how to do an active muscle release or how to break up nerve impingement. Make sure they can explain it back to you. I can't wait. You can only take so many muscle relaxants. Bennie
