Guest guest
Carolyn It's a shame that your family hates him. Sounds like they are judging a book by its cover and not the contents of the book. All that matters is the relationship that the two of you have. If you love each other and take care of each other, then who cares what they think? You can't make people see things that they don't want to see. I am sure it puts a stress on the two of you, because of course we would like to have each others' families like us, BUT if they aren't open enough to see him as a real person and not dollar signs, then don't let it get to you. Easier said then done, but you married him, they didn't! W. Carolyn wrote: My family hates him because he isn't well educated, and well off financially. If they could only see that he has what is really important in abundance: great compassion and a wonderful sense of humor, they would be ashamed of the way they behave. Guest guest
I have almost the opposite problem, my family loves my husband, but his family cannot stand me. We feel that we are soul mates and very much in love with each other. -- Katrena Carolyn wrote: > My family hates him because he isn't well educated, and well off > financially. Guest guest
I can relate Katrena! It was that way with my first husband (my high school sweetheart, no less!). Actually, after we divorced my family told me they never really liked him all that much! My husband and I (now married for 8 years and going strong!!) have such a wonderful relationship! My family adores him and his family likes me as well! He knew all about my chronic pain and ,y medications before we married, and he has never had any problem with it. He is the most supportive, understanding, helpful man in the world! I am very lucky!
