Frustrated At Times/Moderator Complaint

E-Greetings:- Today as I was approving messages I became upset by

several members and the way they write. Are you in such pain that you

don't know how to properly end a sentence? A period ends a sentence not

a bunch that turns into dot leaders. I know that I am going to be

dumped on but really I live with difficult chronic pain and bad eyes and

I still write neatly.

..The Period A period looks like this: *.* It is used to end a

sentence. You should not use a period for anything other than ending a

sentence.

So what gives? I would really like to understand why you write like

this. There are many ways to circumvent problems. Voice dictation, use

of a word processor, edit, then cut and paste, are two I can think of

that are quite usable. Even Office 2003 has a built in voice dictation

that you can set up on your computer. I've tried it and it works quite

well.

The volunteer moderators on this list are volunteers. We are not

editors, frankly you should be your own editor.
