Anyone have bleeding from pain meds?

Yesterday when I had my cysto for bladder cancer, everything showed up all clear

(Yay), but I still remain to have hematuria (blood in the urine). My urologist

doesn't know why since everything is healed. In fact, initially he said my

cancer tumor was too small to produce blood in the urine, so he said the blood

probably wasn't due to the tumor. He thinks the blood is due to usage of pain

meds. such as aspirin or IBU and the blood is coming from the kidneys.

I told him I use mainly opiods (morphine long acting pills)--and that I

infrequently will take ibu or tylenol--never take aspirin. He said the opiods

won't cause the bleeding, but that even ibu or tylenol use from years ago could

now cause bleeding. Well, frankly, I never really have used much ibu or

tylenol because I never got any relief from them! In fact, I couldn't

understand why people took them, because they never touched my pain.

So, I am wondering...maybe just the small amounts I have taken have affected

me because of the EDS and fragile tissue in my kidneys? Has anyone else had

trouble with this? I do worry what is causing the hematuria. He said we will

have to watch this. BtW, this is the first year I have had this show up on a

urine test. And, it has showed up on about 5 of them since January. ANyone

else have this problem with EDS?
