what to tell mutual friends?

For those of you who are NC with nada, do you have any advice on what to

say to friends of the family to explain why you came to that decision?

There are a few people who have known my parents for many years and me

since I was a baby that I am occasionally in contact with. I know that

BPmom is going to paint me black to them. I can live with losing

friends over this, but if I am in a position where someone wants to know

my side of things, what would be appropriate to tell them? I figure I

should have a speech semi-prepared so I don't end up saying the wrong
