Guest guest
You mean there are people who DON'T talk to their pets? I consider myself 'normal' because I do talk to them. LOL They do talk back to me, through their 'howls, part bark and part 'trying' to talk to me. My 16 yr old Main Coon Cat, Disney, will lay beside me on a bad pain day and have his paw on me all day, just laying there and give me comfort. He's just amazing. The other pets do the same in their own way, Roxy (15 yr old Lab Retriever) will lay on the floor on my side of the bed, she's to old now to jump on the bed with me. She'll get up sometimes and look at me and lay her head on the bed and just look at me in those beautiful eyes of hers and whine a bit, as if to say 'I'm sorry'. I've even noticed my daughters 9 mth old kitten, Chuck, will lay beside me (on the opposite side as Disney) and will stay there ALL DAY (which is hard for the freakazoid she is LOL) and is so sweet. Petey, 8 yr old Mini Dachshund, well...he just wants to be with me on the bed...doesn't matter good pain day or not so good one...he just wants to be there. LOL All of our animals are rescued, we saved them and they returned the favor and saved me, and continue to save me every day from suffering alone when my family is at school or work. Sometimes just having another soul there to talk to and to listen is all we need. NO ONE can tell me that animals are not, sometimes, smarter than humans! Be it they CAN'T talk or whatever, they know when sometimes you just want to be quiet and just loved, not because you are not feeling chipper, but just because you are you. Rhee N.
