Hi , Welcome to the list! I am so glad you stopped cold turkey after just a day and a half. There is a whole group of people here who can confirm from personal experience that cold turkey doesn't work. It is not only incredibly difficult but also dangerous. The tapering plan recommended by most doctors is much too fast. Fast tapering can cause severe withdrawal and potential long-term damage just the way cold-turkey can. We can help you to slowly and safely taper off Cymbalta. I understand about the weight gain. I gained a lot on Zyprexa. I have started to lose weight. In fact, I was able to start losing while still tapering. And that feeling of being detached and numb has gone away too. I am much more interested in life now. I still don't care about relationships with men, but I care much

more about my friends and other parts of life. I feel connected again. This new recovery is so wonderful I wouldn't want to waste it on the wrong man, so I'm taking that part very slowly. Anyway, there is a lot of great info in the files which were sent when you joined. It is also available at our yahoo group home page. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Withdrawal_and_Recovery/files/ Hi, my name is , I'm 38 and I'm new to the board. I am trying to stop taking cymbalta. I have also noticed that my attitude seems to be non-caring towards some things that I would never be that way about. I have no interest in being in a relationship with a man. I've

never been this way before. Probably the weight has something to do with it.I tried to stop cold turkey and after a day and a half decided that was a BAD idea. I felt horrible. I was nauseous, my head was swimming, and then came the worst headache that I could remember. I had a doctor's appt. three days ago, she prescribed wellbutrin to be taken along with 30mgs cymbalta for 7 days and then 30mgs every other day for two weeks. I'm actually quite scared of what's to come. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks,
