Guest guest
I think next we are looking into an intrathecal morphine pump. Any comments, suggustions, Thanks> Tabi >Hi Tabi, welcome, sorry about the circumstances that brought you here, but there are very nice people here. One thing I wanted to comment on about the pump. As it is in our area, it is a big city with lots of physicians but none fill or refill the pump! It is a long drive to the nearest Big city with those doctors that specialize in it. You may want to check around and see if there's anywhere close that can do the refills and any types of repairs if ever needed, without a long painful drive. A lot of patients got them put in here only to find out later it is a 2 hour drive to get help. Please research it, and also that whichever insurance company you have will cover any follow-ups of removals or repairs. I had a Medtronics device in my back, that I had removed 8 months after having it placed, the rep told me after-the-fact it had defective leads, but they put it in me anyway! So, I wanted it out, had I ever switched to medicaid or medicare, they would not have covered a removal such as I had, and I went through a lot of resetting, which revolves around the rep's schedule not the patients and doctors! Good luck, and remember patients have rights, ask for different medications if your current ones are not working properly.
