Guest guest Posted June 3, 2002 Report Share Posted June 3, 2002 Hi All, I jsut needed to explode!!! I jsut got back from the neph and was told that I am clear to quit my prednisone. I've been on 5mg for 2 months and now I don't need any!! It is certainly about time. I am so excited about not having to take so much meds. I'm also going off the lipitor. I needed to hear that one. So I'm jsut down to the acne meds and the prinivil. (And of course, going back on my asthma stuff, but that's normal!) Anyway, I'm jsut excited about this. it's been 14 months that I've been on prednisone, so... My nephrologist was also excited I think because he expected such worse results becuase I had crescents and the protein was 8!! Now the protein is only 0.43!! And the protein/creatinine ration is stable at 1.2. It's been there for a while now. Also, I asked him about checking the blood in my urine and he said sure (i can easily get him to do what I want) but he did say that his OPINION is that protein is much more important that blood.
