Guest guest
she may have lyem as well not knowing so ? Mine typically is 106/65, but has gotten much lower at times of illness. I never attributed it to Lyme because my mom runs a low BP as well. Do you know if either of your parents runs a low BP?>> Does anyone elses blkood pressure run on the very low side?>
Guest guest
Terry - I also have very low blood pressure (about 90/60). As this wasn't always the case, I know it has something to do with my current health struggles. In my case, there may be more than one culprit. Along with the Lyme disease, I also have hypothyroidism and adrenal fatigue, both of which can cause low blood pressure. I can get pretty light-headed and nauseous sometimes. Drinking salt water helps me a little (1/4 teaspoon of sea salt in filtered water). Alka-Seltzer Gold helps, too. > > Does anyone elses blkood pressure run on the very low side? >
Guest guest
Hi & Terry, Yes, I have had fairly low blood pressure for as long as I can remember, but never connected it to LD, since my mother and sister also have low blood pressure (and low body temperature). It was especially bad right after I stopped birth control pills, so that my internist was quite concerned, and I came near fainting several times. But all that was done at that time was watch it, and I continued reducing my salt because of PMS. Now that I have a holistic MD, I am using celtic sea salt religiously. 1/4 teaspoon CSS in a glass of water (usually with 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice) about 5 or 6 times a day. I usually take it with my enzymes, not with my Vitamin C, although I do use a lot of C, too. Last night I even had it in the middle of the night, and I think I will continue doing that, since I didn't have as much trouble staying awake today and my muscle aches weren't as bad, either. There may be other variables, but after several more nights I should know if it's really helping. No matter how much I drink during the day, every time my doctor checks me I'm " slightly " dehydrated. So setting a timer and having my drink ready does not seem like too much trouble. I know I also need to increase my exercise. I am also being treated for hypthyroid and adrenal fatigue, and follow a hypoglycemic diet. I have not tried Alka-Seltzer Gold, though.
