Guest guest
Dear , Here are some random thuoghts I had after reading this. You said: << It breaks my heart that you were diagnosed with bipolar at only 21 years of age. In my opinion people that young are still growing, changing, and forming their personalities. It is heartbreaking that the doctors feel free to put labels on young people. I was about 34 when they told me I was bipolar. This is truly suspect. They form the diagnoses based on how we react to the poisons they give us. In fact they mostly based mine on the fact that I reacted badly to SSRI's. I reacted well to Tegretol, and was known as bipolar from that point on. I am 44 now, and after 10 years of drugs and one year of withdrawal, I know deep in my soul that I am not bipolar and never was. Most of my symptoms of so-called mental illness can be traced to poor nutrition and abuse of sugar. >> ** The label " bipolar " is a label that exists to allow the pharmaceutical industry to push more drugs on people. This diagnosis can never be proven - -that's why the drug industry encourages doctors to foist it upon anyone from children to great grandmothers. This will go down in history as being one of the biggest scams run by the drug industry. As far as doctors go, most know only ONE thing -- how to write a prescription. From the time they enter medical school, they are inundated with information on how to " recognize symptoms " and match them with the " appropriate drug(s) " . They are conditioned to look at you as needing a drug when you have a complaint. Guess who heavily subsidizes most medical schools...yes, the pharmaceutical industry. Guess who sits on editorial boards of the books used in medical schools -- yes indeed, the pharmaceutical industry. Did your doctor ever ask you these things? -- Tell me about your diet. -- Are you happy with your job? -- Are you having relationship problems? -- What do you do for exercise? -- How are your children? Are you finding things stressful with them? -- What do you do for relaxation and fun? -- If you could change anything about your life right now, what would it be and how would you change it? -- Do you feel supported by family and friends? -- Are you comfortable with the level of intimacy in your life? If they've said any of these things, did they offer you information and resources or did they offer a DRUG (or two or three)? Let's talk about nutrition a little more. I can't tell you how many times I've heard, " I eat a healthy diet " only to find upon probing that the diet is not healthy. This is because most people don't know what constitutes a healthy diet. Why? Because it's one of the least researched areas of health and your doctor is unable, in most cases, to provide you with information on a healthy diet. The foundation for your health and chemistry was established when you were a fetus. If an expectant mother is not in excellent health and eating appropriately, this effects the fetus -- you. Think back as far as you can. What kind of meals did your family prepare? Did you eat fresh, whole foods or was it canned, packaged and processed food? Was it fast food? How many meals contained fresh vegetables? Are you a person who doesn't like vegetables? This is learned behavior. All babies eat vegetables -- the strained variety in a jar. As children age out of jarred baby food, many parents project a dislike of vegetables onto the child. Children are given what our culture believes is " kid food " . Kid food is comprised of such things as hot dogs, french fries, chicken nuggets, peanut butter and jelly, Stress is a word most people presume to be mental pressure; however, stress is actually a physiological reaction. When a person doesn't get the proper nutrients in the proper amounts, this causes stress to the body chemistry. When a person is unhappy, this causes a stress reaction in the body. When a person is tired, this too, causes stress. When a person is emotionally stressed, there is an actual chemical process that occurs in the body. This give a preliminary overview of the physiology of stress: http://www.csupomona.edu/~jvgrizzell/kin370/ch02/sld002.htm What must be added here is that all pharmaceutical drugs create stress in the body.
