Guest guest
Hi Cheryl, There are times when I'm in a lot of pain and I pick up the phone and call my friend to see if she is doing okay or needs anything. Even if she wants to just talk it seems to help me by helping others. My friend that I wrote about earlier and this one are one in the same. Her name is Diane and I would like to tell you how special she is. She is 35 years old and has lupus. She suffers so much with it. She also works full time for the post office, has 2 children, a girl who is 5 and a boy who is 13. The children are involved in everything you could imagine. From karate to basketball, football and soccer. Diane and her husband meet each other coming and going. On her days off of work her very sweet husband will not let the children go into the bedroom. He puts extra blankets on her because she is always cold, and then he fixes her hot chocolate and something to eat. He will take this to her along with her meds so that she doesn't have to get up for anything. Why I am telling you all of this is, I can't remember a day gone by that she hasn't called me and gave me encouragement. No matter how bad she feels she will always call and make sure I'm at least doing something. I try to learn from her and be like her as much as possible. I really don't know how she does the things she does with all the pain she lives in. I called my aunt today and visited with her for a while just trying to help someone else like I get helped every day. Why don't each and every one of you do the same thing. For some reason the pain went away for a little while and I felt good about myself for doing this. I'll be thinking of you, Carol (OK) --------------------------------- Never miss a thing.
