Guest guest
Bennie, Thanks for your response, I am on digest form so I will only respond when they come in. I wish I could have it the other way but I run a ankle fusion support group and my box on certain days is so full and this is easier. Not a big fan of digest but it helps to get one email with all the emails instead of 25 individual ones. No, I don't have a pain management doctor but I may see one once I get to a couple months post op since my fixator was removed because maybe it will ease or I hope it will. I don't have a pain management doctor. I know darvocet is a pretty low pain killer but I am allergic to vicidine and percocet and demerol makes me wacky so I am nervous about pills. Is neuropathic pain the nerve pain? I don't have a full amputation. I just had bone amputated, part of the fibula, it ends in the middle of my leg versus at my ankle and then the ankle joint was removed. I am thinking it may be some of the pain but the other pain, I think is just normal pain. It hurts to know that I will struggle with this for the next 50-70 years depending on how old I live to be and all because a doctor screwed up. I just want to find ways to help the pain without being drugged all the time. I just want to walk again and be the person I was before the TT fusion (that is where I had the bone amputated) without the severe pain and the inabily to ever move my foot. I had a doctor screw up so it makes it a little more rough. I have to deal with knowing he messed up and because of it, I have to deal with this.
