Guest guest
All I can say, Thank God it is OVER! I had the somatization crap appear on my chart too, even Munchaussen's and a few other things I do not currently or ever had. I can tell you it is one hard uphill fight once that crap appears. It is like no matter what you say or do it seems to be a sign of one of these conditions. You figfht to disprove it and you're told you are in denial. You do nothing, you're told you are giving in to your body. I had a horrible experienec where I went to a patient conference expecting those involved to come up with a plan for dealing with my sx and helping me get back to work. What I got was 1.5 hours of them trying to convince me I had a somatization disorder! They drove me so deeply into a depression that I almost did not survive. I read up on it, knew I didn't have it and went along with going to the psychitraist. After 3 visits she informed me I did NOT have it and that they likely had done irreparable psych damage from the reaction I had to their little ambush (as I call it). This was when my CFS wasn't getting better so they decided they had to figure out " why my mind was convincing my body it was sick " . Fast forward to 3.5 years later - after still being sick and spedning $400 on blood work sent to a special lab in the U.S., it came back showing evidence of not one but 2 chronic viral infections, and chronic immune activation - all of which explain my ongoing symptoms. Whether they call it CFS or not, it is there on he printouts for all to see. I really am sick, just as I always knew and told everyone. You really need at least one person in your corner who believes you and will fight for you. I could write a book on some of the things that have happened to me as aI am sure you could. I hope after all that crap they give you your SS The system is sick, sick, sick at times! Hugs, JOyce
