Guest guest
>s if deaf is not enough, if we lost our hands we cud not >sign to our deaf friends siggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh ... I know the feeling well. It's so scary to know when to jump. I have a tumor in my good hand, in the palm, and I'm so scared to the point of numbness. How do I communicate with Greg if my hands dont work? (He has NF2 and is deaf, for those of you that haven't met him) Has anyone had a tumor removed from the palm of their hand with no loss of strength? The drs here in Oregon (who are not terribly NF2-educated) say " no-can-do " Not comforting, to say the least. They said that about my c1 in my spine though, and Dr. Epstein was able to do that, so I'm pretty sure someone somewhere can get this out of my hand before it gets worse. On a sort of related note. Do people with NF2 have peripherals only on one side of their body? I have them all on my left side (left leg, arm and hand), so that makes me a tad curious if others notice that as well??? Guest guest
hi Jennette- Yes I had a tumor out about 15 year ago. It was very large and wrapped around the nerve in my L palm. The only reaon I had it out was pressure would make it hurt. I have had no problems after it healed. However I do have another one (that has popped up on my Right palm) and tumors in my wrists. These are not painful yet so the docs just watch them grow. I had one removed from my R index finger and have one growing in my left if these become a nuseince I'll have them removed but for now it's not really a problem... The L side of my bod seems to be affected wore than the right but over the years I would ay it has just about evened out. Lucky me!! LOL Take care- Jayne (Hummus Lovin' Vegetarian) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------\ -------------------------------------------- ...
