Guest guest
Hi GG, I listened. Basically 6 presenters outlined the desperate Lyme Disease situation in the US and internationally (all that most of us are familiar with to date). The roadblock by the IDSA was mentioned several times. NIH, IDSA, and CDC were invited but did not show up (so what else is new?). The chairman left the invitations to NIH, IDSA, and CDC open, for their future testimony. To be continued. You can listen to the testimony like I did on the appropriate website; I had received an email notice from a Lyme group, with a link to the the videos. You can skip as you listen, to save time. Guest guest
Thank you for providing your thoughts on this hearing. I appreciate it. I wonder if they stated or implied why no one from NIH, ISDA or CDC were in attendance and what was thought of that? Seems to me that there absence speaks volumes as to the controversy that they have created over the years. They should be charged with the damages that they have caused many over the years... Guest guest
Hello Meo, The IDSA responded that their designated attendee had another commitment (!!!), and I don't remember any responses from the other organizations. One could sense the disappointment of the hearing participants in that those 3 organizations did not show up. Guest guest
Hey Adam, Don't get too excited, the IDSA are snakes and should never be trusted.... But anyway, I am not disappointed... :-) Take care, Jim > > > > > > > > >The House Committee on Foreign Affairs, Subcommittee on Africa, Global > > > > >Health, & Human Rights will hold a hearing today, July 17, on " Global > > > > >Challenges in Diagnosing and Managing Lyme Disease - Closing Knowledge > > > > >Gaps. Guest guest
Hi Jim, I just feel very disappointed that after all of the work that was put into having the hearing, key players had the gaul to ignore attending. If it was just another meeting, it's one thing, but so many people suffering need help and they are being ignored. Here's hoping the next meeting will be successful. See ya, Adam > > > > > > > > > > >The House Committee on Foreign Affairs, Subcommittee on Africa, Global > > > > > >Health, & Human Rights will hold a hearing today, July 17, on " Global > > > > > >Challenges in Diagnosing and Managing Lyme Disease - Closing Knowledge > > > > > >Gaps.
