Sorry i wasnt clear. > But short acting meds do have peaks and valley's highs and lows, where > as long acting meds you don't have that as much. You are right but there is a whole way of thinking which you know as a RN that some medical professionals think pain patients get high on their pain medications. I was confused when you wrote that, as you had included peaks and valleys, and that is why I put that they changed me to Avinza to prevent the peaks and valleys. That is why I also put we have to watch what words we use, as when chronic patients say drugs we are on, we understand . But if we say medication to those who judge our " drugs' it lends to that it is for a verified condition. Thanks, Deb for clarifying. I also was confused when you said the rush you get on a medication, so that is why I misunderstood. Sometimes it gets so confusing and we all react so differently, what helps one person doesn't help another. I couldn't take Opana (it made me violently ill) or Cymbalta (I had very violent nightmares), Ambien, I saw the curtains move when they didn't and would sleep walk and eat at night. So as you know, it takes rotating meds and titering meds to the needs of you pain. Thanks again Deb, Bennie >
