Not even for a back injury of all things. Oh well. Becky, I am retired Reserves and also a dependent. I was a Hospital Administrator when I was in and worked in Tricare and Managed Care as officer to audit civilian doctors. I don't know if you have Tricare Prime or Standard but you need to call Tricare and talk to a representative and ask for an out of network doctor. I travel three hours to have a pain management doctor that treats me appropriately. Your pain management doctor is probably an anesthesiologist and does epidural injections before medication management. My doctor is a psychiatrist who manages intractable pain. If I were you, I would search your area for a doctor and then present it to Tricare. I have gotten them to provide me with a doctor and me pay co-pay to him. Again, contact me at my personal e-mail and I can send you info and what I have learned going through the military system for 56 years. I was a military brat and then enlisted for 26 years myself. I will be happy to help. Bennie
