Guest guest
Yes I am like that.. Sometimes I just don't go to bed..Of course that only makes it worse.. I recently started Lyrica at 150mg 2x a day..Within the first 2 days I noticed a difference when getting up after sleeping..I could actually just get right up with less pain... So far it is just getting into my system. It takes about a week at full dose to start to work they say.. I started right away with 150mg 2x a day.. Karla -------Original Message------- Does anyone hurt so bad when they wake up from sleep that they can barely walk, talk , or use there arms and hands. The only way I can avoid this is to not go to bed or only sleep a couple of hours at a time. It`s like everything loses it`s fuction ability. Some mornings, like today, I have to force my sore body to get up and use the bathroom. I was eating dinner last night, and my back spasm was so intense I nearly fell off my stool! I am getting NOTHING for pain except prescription Aleve and Cymbalta. I had to go to a new doctor (due to newly acquired Medicaid) and she is starting from scratch with my pain issues. I hope that I can find a pain management doctor nearby that will accept Medicaid. There are days like the last 2 when I wish I had died with my dear husband last year. I hate " living " like this - if that is what you call it. What also hurts is that I live with my mom and stepfather, I am 44 years old, waiting forever for a NJ Disability determination, on Welfare, and my family needs to sell this house and they want me OUT! I am scared to death to move to a Welfare motel or shelter with my back problems. What will I do if I fall and am ALONE? So, I am scared and hate this pain - just like you. It takes all my will to do normal daily functions. (It is 11:30 AM and I am STILL in my nightgown!) Hopefully, I will be able to get to a pain management doctor soon and get some REAL medicine for the pain. I am lucky to now have a local Congressman ( Saxton) involved in my Disability determination! I talked to his office yesterday, and they are appalled at how long it is taking. So they are going to contact them on my behalf. I can hope!!! I know the pain will never be totally gone, but all I want is to FUNCTION on a daily basis. To take a shower without fearing hitting the tile floor. To cook a meal without dropping pots cause my hand cramps. To go to a store and not have to use a motorized cart. To be semi-normal! I hope we all can achieve some sense of the life of a functioning human and not a pain filled miserable human.
