Guest guest
It doesn't get THAT cold here, but whenever it gets below 35 degrees, I can feel it everywhere! I feel like the " princess and the pea " I can even find tiny ingrown hairs, which I almost never get when this happens! Guest guest
I am having a nasty cold/pain day. Thirteen degrees out and supposed to drop tonight then be 37 tomorrow. I had to go out today because my fiance's car stopped running last night and he had left it in the library parking lot. I tried to go with him last night (I felt better then) but my fiance insisted he wanted to talk to his brother in law. He couldn't though did not have the number and his parents are away. So I called my Dad who said try jumping the car. This morning I drove my fiance back to the car and no go on the jump. He was worried about the orange bolts and a hole in the battery. So he'll have to deal with it tomorrow or tonight if he calls my brother. My fiance thinks it may now work to jump the car. Too bad I am still in too much pain or I'd go with him. Guest guest
Hi Christy, I am sorry you are having a bad cold/pain day and are in so much pain that you can't go help your fiance with his car. I had a really bad pain day yesterday. My pain today isn't as bad as yesterday, but it's still not where I would like it. Well, I would like my pain gone, but I know that isn't going to happen. So, I would like my pain levels to be around a 3 on my pain scale like they used to be. Unfortunately, here in the last several months, my pain levels have been around a 5 or 6 on my pain scale. Everyone's pain scale is different. It has been really cold here as well. It was 11 degrees this morning when I went to Wal Mart. It also snowed from sometime in the middle of the night until just about an hour or two ago. I hope the rest of your day and tomorrow are not as painful for you! I love winter. Not the rainy miserable grey sky stuff, but the kind where the temps hit - 20C (-5F) and below. I draw the line at -40, that's when my scarf freezes to my face. :-) It was only - 14 C (7 F) today, so I had to go outside and have a walk and play in the yard with the cats. I can always dress warmly enough in the winter, but in the hot summer, I almost perish. When it's +30C (86F) or more, with a high humidity. I have to stay indoors or in a car with air conditioning. 10 minutes outside in that hot, sticky weather and I start getting quite sick. No matter what the temperature is though, quick changes in barometric pressure, really do a number on me. -- Lyndi
Guest guest
Hi Becky, Thanks for the good thoughts. Still trying to feel better but this new pain seems to want to hold on. I missed work yesterday and will today. Hopefully there will be some give soon, I miss the breaks in pain and so far the valerian root I take on top of my regular medication is not helping except to make sleeping easier. Guest guest
Hi Christy, I'm glad the valerian root is helping you to sleep better. I am so sorry the pain will not ease up. Sometimes I wish we could take the pain out like a splinter and throw it off a cliff lol. I used to have breaks in the pain as well. But, like you, there haven't been any breaks in my pain for a while either. I am still thinking good thoughts and praying for you! I hope the pain all eases up soon!
