Casey,

Lol! I wish I had such interesting dreams.

I wanted to mention that I take atenolol....I seem to recall you

mentioned recently that you take it too. I've been doing a little

research on it lately because I'm considering going off. I have

seen a lot of posts by atenolol users complaining of tinnitis.

Hmmm...coincidence or no? I actually found a couple of websites

that list atenolol as " ototoxic " , which I guess means poisonous to

the ears, but it's weird because it is never listed as a side effect

on the prescribing info.

It's fine to take with other supplements.

tinnitus

Jeepers! I am such a ditz! I cannot figure out how to reply to the

messages anymore! LOL , in an attempt to reply to your

message, I may have forwarded a copy of your reply to be posted.

Sorry! :-(

Anyway, thanks for your reply, I will check into those products. Does

this mean that the fluid/pressure in my ears is not from allergies,

but also from kidney/liver problems? I assume that I can take these

products along with my multi-vitamin/mineral, magnesium and Vitamin C?

Thanks,

Kendee

My husband has tinnitus and it is quite bothersome at times. He's been to an

ear specialist who diagnosed his problem. He has so many other problems that

this is by far the least. If your bothered by it when you sleep, keep a radio

next to your bed at a very low setting. When driving, play the radio - do

anything that will drown out the noise in your ears. Good Luck

Hi Steve,

I have that problem a lot. It feels like background noise in my head. I

forgot what my doctor called it. I don't know if it's me having high blood

pressure because I normally have really low blood pressure. But, I do know mine

gets worse when my pain gets worse. I hope they can find an answer for you!

Love,

was too high. I have a BP machine at home and take my pressure everyday

due to hypertension. Many days when the noise is high, my BP is " normal. "

Does anyone in the group have this problem?

I have sounds in my ears alot ! Ha ha got you - err i mean a lot. It comes and

goes, and kinda sounds like someone is crinkling up paper. I understood from

past posts that it is a dercum's thang. So I just accepted it as one more

issue.

The sound in my head reminds me of radio static. Sometimes there are

bells and whistles and other times I hear music. Mine was brought on

by severe antibiotic toxisity. So yes, medication can cause tinnitus

in your ears.

Hi Steve, my name is , I think this is the second time I'm posting.

Your post caught me because I've had a ringing in my ears for about 17

yrs now. Recently it's been getting worse slowly but surely, ever since

I started talking Lyrica.

I went to specialist a long time ago and he told me I would have to have my jaw

broken and reset, due to extensive dental work over the years.

I've been suffering from Chronic pain for 4 yrs now. There must be a

reaction to the meds also. I take Oxycodone and Duragesic patches

amongst a host of others. I take another anti anxiety, Celexa. I would

be really interested if you find any answers. i'll keep watching the

thread.

sorry if someone said this also but tylenol/acetaminophen that's in many of the

prescription

painkillers like Vicodin, darvocet, norco, and such, is known to cause temporary

ringing in

the ears / tinnitus feeling, I think just temporarily and not permanently

though.

I have had tinnitus for 20 years. Mine was brought on by loud musice

as a teen. Also, I think that i may have inherited it from my dad.

Go to tinnitus association.com They have many good articles on it.

In my case it is permanent and in both ears. There is no know cure

for it.

There are options, such as machines that create white noise but to me one is

just as bad as the other. I try to ignore it.

Sometimes I would like to tare my hair out. Do you have any hearing

loss? Usually tinnitus is associated with hearing loss.
