Guest guest
Mae, I love your name and your attitude. I try to see/do things much the same way. I take it one day at a time or else it gets too overwhelming. Of course, I have my bad days but I (we) just gotta keep on keepin on! When I had shoulder surgery I learned to put my hair up (and everything else)with one hand. And when I was on crutches and couldn't walk or hold things, I learned to hold things in my mouth or other ways. When I had a non-union fracture and could not walk for 21/2 years, I got in a swimming pool and got my exercise and fun that way.We can adapt to situations if we have to. Cheers to keeping a postive attitude and welcome to the group! Caitlin Moderator mhaney2513 wrote: I try to stay positive, but that is sometimes very difficult. Instead, I remind myself of the thngs I can still do. I don't harbor on what I can't do. It doesn't help.As a result, I have gotten very creative, in finding ways to do a lot of the things, that are painful to do. Sometimes it works out pretty good, other times it doesn't. Depending on the day, of course. --------------------------------- Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Mobile. Try it now.
