Guest guest
Hi, Rhonda. What a horror story you have to tell about your back. Did you at least sue the doctor/s for screwing up, so that you can at least have medical coverage for medicine and to see a doctor for the rest of your life? You sure will need it. A lot of us here suffer from back pain of different kinds and causes, so we can empathize with you. Welcome to the group. Love and gentle hugs, Debi/So. Guest guest
Hi I am Rhonda I am 28 and have had chronic back pain since I was 15. Last month I underwent a spinal fusion. while they were operating on me they accidentaly broke part of one vertebre while removing the disc. I was in pain before but now I also have nerve damage that is affecting my left foot. I am so stressed out and don't know what to do. My back pain is still bad and I haven't been able to handle the pain meds. My foot has very strange sensations in it now that make it hard to feel. Guest guest
What has the surgeon said about it? That sorta sounds fixable. Guest guest
Hi Rhonda, It saddens me to hear that you've suffered additional problems at the hand of a surgeon. This is one factor that played into my decision not to have surgery on my cervical spine 16 years ago. There was no guarantee my pain would diminish. My father had back surgery many years ago, disc removal and some sort of fusion. It left him with several problems and still had pain the rest of his life. Can doctors do anything to relieve the issue with the nerve affecting your foot? I sure hope so. Guest guest
Hi Rhonda, I'm sorry the surgeon accidently broke part of a vertebre while doing your back surgery. I'm sorry you are having bad pain again and your foot is going numb. I have that problem with both my legs (with them going numb). I am saying some prayers for you. I hope you can find some pain medications that you can handle. I know I can't handle Percocets. They are too strong for me. Even when I cut them in half!
