Guest guest
Yes, my NADA scrutinizes me for spending my own money. I don't go out and buy clothes, or anything fun like that....I've been trying to buy a house and she thinks it's a bad idea. if i go to lunch with my sister she says things like " I don't know how you can afford to eat out so much!!! You waste money! " but when I take her out to dinner, she says nothing of the sort. NADA's don't give a crap what we want. > > Has anyone here made the mistake of telling their pet BP they want to > buy something? > And, GOD HELP YOU if it's not something the BP also wants, or is > something they don't approve of. > " What do you want to get one of them for? Guest guest
Yes, mine still wants to know why I had to get my " stupid " cats. By the way when I got them, I was so sick I wasn't going to be able to work for 3 months, had no family around, and a lousy boyfriend. Maybe I wanted a little company something to love. Her favorite phrase is " what do you need it for " > > Has anyone here made the mistake of telling their pet BP they want to > buy something? > And, GOD HELP YOU if it's not something the BP also wants, or is > something they don't approve of. > " What do you want to get one of them for? Guest guest
That sounds like Dud. My dog (I'm a dogaholic) is " that bloody animal " . Pepper (dog) doesn't like Dud. Dud once asked me: " but can't you make her like me? " to which I said, " It's no wonder she doesn't like you, I don't like you either. " Shortly after I went NC. He sent a card for my birthday (thanks ever so much), nothing since. I'm hoping he's getting the message, but I know hope is wasted on him. It's a strange feeling. > Yes, mine still wants to know why I had to get my " stupid " cats. > > By the way when I got them, I was so sick I wasn't going to be able to > work for 3 months, > had no family around, and a lousy boyfriend. > > Maybe I wanted a little company something to love. > > Her favorite phrase is " what do you need it for " Send instant messages to your online friends http://au.messenger.yahoo.com
Guest guest
, One of THE biggest blow ups nada and I had was over my graduation present. She wanted to get me a nice watch cuz that is what her parents got her. At the end of the day I picked the one I liked AND SHE REFUSED TO BUY IT BECAUSE SHE DIDN'T LIKE IT! Arguing cursing and screaming at each other all the way home and into the house and dad took the money from nada, gave it to me and said buy whatever the F you want! Guest guest
Good for your dad! Every once in a blue moon, I remember my dad standing up to her, and she folded like a cheap suit. I'm sure you loved that watch all the more! -Kyla
Guest guest
One amusing story about Yeti shopping for birthday presents for Dud: She was milling thgins over in her head in a discount dept. store (of course because it was for someone else)... I could get him godknowswhatitwas or I could get him godknowssomethingelse... She was trying to decide between them, when out of the corner of her eye she spied something else, what it was truely doesn't matter but what she said was more than slightly telling: " Of course, I'll get him that! *****I CAN USE IT*****. Good example of a Yeti being her caring considerate self. Makes you wonder why Dud fled for his life, doesn't it... > One of THE biggest blow ups nada and I had was over my graduation > present. Guest guest
Speaking of pets, my Nada tries to force my cats to like her. She corners them, calls them " hers " (which she does with my husband too). The cats and the husband are most uncomfortable. I don't even bother telling her about things I've bought or plan to buy because she will tell me about why it's not as good her idea. Amazingly, this year she actually got me the sweater I asked for for Christmas. Of course in anger she told me to send her the exact link and said that it was difficult and next time she will just write me a check for the amount. I'd rather have nothing, but she hounds me for ideas. > > Yes, mine still wants to know why I had to get my " stupid " cats. > > > > By the way when I got them, I was so sick I wasn't going to be able to > > work for 3 months, > > had no family around, and a lousy boyfriend. > > > > Maybe I wanted a little company something to love. > > > > Her favorite phrase is " what do you need it for " > > Send instant messages to your online friends http://au.messenger.yahoo.com >
