Guest guest
Hi, I was very lucky in that my therapist actually helped me understand how my mother was functioning and encouraged me to go NC. For the first time in my life I wasn't " it " and he blew me away with his understanding of how she functioned and to what point I was in danger with any contact with her. I had been brought up to believe that I was ill and at any given moment could be put in a psy hospital, at one point I felt that I was doing the analysis for my mother, how bizarre is that! Guest guest
Not bizarre at all... that's what happened to me... Nada went blitz-craig for the first time in public in her Dr's office in front of the nurse, the surgeon and me. After her performance, they both spoke to me in the hall - alone... we can take care of her needs... but what can we do for YOU!!!??? It was the first time anyone ever noticed that I may have needs in regard to this... this was 1 1/2 months ago... Been in therapy since.
