Guest guest
I have fibromyalgia, and have continued to worsen for the past couple of years. I have chronic severe pain all over in every muscle and joint, tingling and numbness in my extremities, especially on my left side. I get cold, my body really gets in pain. It seems to hate the cold. >> Hi , I have not posted here in awhile either. I do read the post daily tho. I also have fibro, it has gotten worse for me in the last year. I have been having alot of lower back pain, now, i am having numbness in my left leg and foot. I have had a hip replaced on that side. Now, the right hip is getting worse too. I walk with a cane, after a 3-4 hr shift at my job, I have to use a walker to get around. IT is sooo frustrating. I am soo frustrated!! I am only 44, I feel alot older then what i should. My symptoms are pretty much like yours, when I read this, I thought, that is me!! Alot of my friends n family, don't quite understand it, MY Doc. don't understand it. I would love to find a Doc. who really cared about how I am feeling, what I am going thru. I wish you the best of luck , keep your chin up! There are alot of people here who listen!! This is a great group of people!! If you ever care to talk, drop me a line! God Bless.. Barb
Guest guest
P., I have Fibromyalgia and RSD. I too have the tingling, numbness and sensativity to cold, but that's related to my RSD. Muscle spasms are also VERY common with Fibro. I've had so many muscle spasms in my back at once that it paralysed my neck several times. The muscle spasms also make me stop dead in my tracks and will sometimes make me fall if I'm walking and don't have anything to grab on to. You'll notice with your Fibro that stress and weather play a big part in what your Fibro is doing. When I was first diagnosed, my rheumatologist recommended I get frequent massages. That's of course costly so I've never been able to keep up with it, but I'll get maybe one a year and it helps. Also, heat helps with Fibro. I've always enjoyed scalding hot showers or baths to help. Your doctor could put you on muscle relaxers to help, but I hated taking them because even if I took 1/4 of one, it knocked me out for 12 hrs. Also, how are you sleeping? I just got a sleepnumber bed to help me sleep better and to help with my pain and it's amazing. I can't remember the last time I've slept so deeply and had so many dreams.
