Guest guest
In regards to 's post about the Trans dermal Patches I am on 150mcg? Fentanyl with 30mg Immediate release Morphine for my pain.Iit has really made a difference in the way I feel and I am able to get through the day with some resemblance of normal feeling. I also am on Flexeril for the spasms and do use a TENS unit for long lasting spasms. Likewise I always keep a bag packed for an emergency trip to the Hospital just so I am ready in case. Guest guest
I've had no success with Fentanyl patches at all, I've heard the same from a few other people, and I've also heard from others that it does wonders. I was up to 200 mcg/hr of the patch, and it didn't even touch me. Right now I'm taking 10 mg Methadone 3 times a day and 30 mg Roxanol (concentrated Morphine solution 20 mg/ml) up to 3 times a day PRN. Unfortunately, I'm still having problems because I take it through my J tube, which in the end causes more pain and nausea. I have a PICC line in again, I started getting IV Zofran, Protonix and fluids and taking Zofran IV has made a BIG difference, whereas the same dose through my tube, barely touched the nausea, because pushing through my tube just caused more problems. It seems to be a big cycle. My pain doctor and I seem to be on different communication wavelengths. I'm not sure if he doesn't hear everything I'm saying because he's thinking (it IS a man thing, no offense to the guys) or if he's not understanding what I'm saying because he has different assumptions...but if someone could give me ideas on how to communicate effectively, I'd really appreciate it. in DC
