However, with my limited knowledge, I don't think it would be possible, because peripheral neuropathy is pain from damage at the very ENDS of the nerves, out in the feet and hands etc, and it would be impossible to locate, let alone " burn " all those areas of damage. The folks for whom this works have a different kind of damage - they have radiculopathy, which is a long word meaning damage at the nerve ROOTS, where it's relatively easy to locate and treat those single huge nerves like the sciatic nerve right where it leaves the spinal cord. But talk to your doctor - there's no harm in asking. Cheryl in AZ Moderator

Can this work should? i tell my nerolagest, give me some feed back hang in there Hi again Tom - I'm sorry, I just read your message more carefully, and I should have said that I think it wouldn't work on the diabetic peripheral neuropathy, but it MIGHT work on the pain from the disk disease, if that pain is actually due to nerve damage at the nerve root in your neck. There are other kinds of pain that can result from disk disease that it wouldn't help (such as muscle spasm pain). They would have to do a very painful test called an EMG/Nerve Conduction Study first to determine the actual type and exact neurological source of your pain. Definitely talk to your doctor - if nothing else, make sure you tell him you want him to consider and discuss with you every possible treatment option, even if this isn't a possibility for you. Sometimes we have to insist that they think a little harder for us. Cheryl in AZ Moderator

Hi Cheryl A side bonus of my cervical radio frequency treatments is a tremendous amount of relief from muscle spasm pain in my upper back. My pain doctor says that makes sense, because all of those nerves are interconnected. Bodies are weird things. :-) -- Lyndi
Guest guest
Hi Tom That's fantastic! Really pleased for you. Goes to prove that it doesn't hurt to ask for a second opinion if you're not happy. Hope you stay pain-free for a VERY long time! Take care, Jen --- Tom wrote: >Long story short, I went to another pain doctor and after testing me he burnt the nerves. This is the fist time I have been out of pain for over a year.
