Sleep apnea, and other disorders

Hi Everyone

I wonder, if some of you sleep better in a chair (I

suppose you mean a recliner?) than in bed, because you

have sleep apnea.

Obviously, you can keep your head, and neck in a much

different position in a recliner. Poor sleep, can

cause physical pain. It certainly contributes to

Fibromyalgia, and a host of other problems listed in

the article.

Here is a link, from Psychology Today that should be

helpful:

There is also the simple possibility, that sleeping in

your comfy recliner, or couch is the best position of

comfort for your pain.

If you happen to snore, and/or are overweight, then it

would be a good idea, if possible, to be examined, and

possibly have the full diagnostic work up, for sleep

apnea.

It's surprising, how many people have sleep apnea. My

husband rests much better, now that he uses a C-Pap

machine.

Kaylene,

I had to tell you a funny story. My husband sleeps in the other

bedroom with his C-Pap because it bothers me and I can't sleep. He

gets up at 5:40 in the morning.

We have two dogs and one cat. The two dogs sleep with

me and the cat sleeps with my husband. The cat is used to being feed

when my husband gets up. I went in the other bedroom and Bobs tubing

had duct tape all over it. It seems the cat gets upset if he doesn't

get up and claws the hose and puts holes in it.

Animals are such good therapy for us. They provide us with humor.

loyalty, love, companionship, and will to get up and feed them. The

cat has such a persistent meow and his weight does not relate to his

weight. He is on diet food but being the hunter he is, we think he

supplements his diet with geikos

and other creatures of the night.

I just had to share that story.

Bennie
