My name is Donna. I've been suffering with back pain since my injury

at work last May. That was 8 mths ago.

I was diagnosed with a bulging disc and pinched nerve. I've had 2 nerve block

injections. My last one was in September. After 3 mths of therapy, which ended

the end of October, I thought I was on my way to recovery. With the help of pain

meds, I finally had feeling in my left leg.

That was until this past Monday. It started with low back pain, again. Then

proceeded to travel down my thigh, into my knee, calf and foot. I thought ok,

just a minor set back, surely I will feel better by Tuesday.

Well it's Sunday morning. I was up before 5 AM, because of back pain and my leg

still aches, throbs and is numb. Because of problems with my employer's

insurance company, I had to get a lawyer involved.

Since I have been released from the surgeon who prescribed my meds,I have to be

approved by the insurance company before I can see him again. I have only 5 pain

pills left and 3 wks left of the Neurontin.

Meanwhile, what can I do, but suffer this out? I'm 46 yrs. old and walk slower

than my 83yr. old mom. I have to hang on to whatever when I do walk, so I won't

fall. I'm beginning to think my life will never be the same.

We have a 19 ft. boat we take to the lake and the beach. Of course last summer,

we went nowhere. I don't know if I will ever be able to ride in a boat again.

All the things my husband and I use to do for fun, will just be a memory it

seems. Has anyone else eyer been through this?

Donna
