I always looked at my wheelchair as a freeing thing. With it, I could get

around indoors and out. Without it, I was stuck either on the couch, a chair,

or in bed.

I think that term " confined to a wheelchair " is an oxymoron. It's just the

opposite. A wheelchair gives a person a new set of round feet. :-)

Last year, I used a borrowed scooter as often as I could. I loved it. It went

fast, took turns great, and was easy to take apart and put in the trunk of a

car.

Currently, I don't need a wheelchair or scooter, unless I'm going to be walking

a long time. I'm glad the big box stores have scooter carts available. Those

stores can be awfully daunting without one.
