Carolyn,

I too have the most wonderful husband. The day the doctor said my

prognosis was poor and that my condition would only worsen. He stood

there and tears came into his eyes. I don't look like a pain patient

but he knows I am. After I had my auto accident and went downhill and

lost my job, he was always there.

He loves to cook. He works, buys the groceries, pays the bills, cooks,

and does laundry. I do spend the money to have someone to come in and

clean when I can to help.

He used to feel guilty when he left me at home to do something he

liked, like going to the bookstore but I insist he deserves it. I

don't know what I would do without him and I am grateful for him.

My husband likes to disappear during the day oon the weekends. I don't wory

because he loves to go to auto junkyards and look at car parts. An odd hobby

but whatever floats your boat.

Otherwise, he does everything including shopping. I forget how to shop I do

it so seldom. I do my own laundry and he does his but will do some of mine

if I'm really laid up.

My family hates him because he isn't well educated, and well off

financially. If they could only see that he has what is really important in

abundance: great compassion and a wonderful sense of humor, they would be

ashamed of the way they behave.

The only thing that really matters is what you think about him. You cant change

other people, so really not any thing you can do about it. If you can’t change

something then don’t worry about it.
