Guest guest
Hi , I live in Missouri too. It's been an unusually bad winter here. I bought a digital barametric pressure guage about a year ago so I could keep track of how the weather changes are affecting my son. He gets migraines that are bad when the pressure goes up or down and the weather has been changing more than usual this winter. He normally does better in the summer months. He gets them a lot in the spring and fall even when the weather is nice as long as the pressure continues to rise or fall. Windy days affects him too. We haven't found anything to prevent the migraines, but he did seem better on Topomax until the winter came. He had a good summer at least. He sees a specialist in St. Louis. I just called his doctor to ask about increasing his dosage. This week he's had a bad headache almost daily with the temp. going from 60 to 0 in just a few short days. I've wondered if he would do better if we could move to another state. There is a weather pain indicator on weatherchannel.com If you click on healthy living at the top you will get some choices. Then click on " aches and pains " and you can put in your zip to get your aches and pains report. I just did that for my area and it doesn't look good for next several days for us. We are at 5 on a scale of 1-10 for the next several days. My son is home with a migraine today. I had a lot of faith the Topomax would be the cure but it doesn't seem to be working now at all. Sometimes increasing the dosage has helped in the past. Sometimes he has to go on predisone for awhile. Cheryl in MO - " " wrote: >> I am wishing for spring.
