Watch out Vegas!! ) > ha ha I've had a drop foot since my teens - waayyyyy before I knew about my NF2. I used to wear wedgies (platform shoes). the angle would compensate for the drop in my foot, albeit wobbly sometimes. never bothered to mention it to Dr. it took another 15 years til my first NF2 surgery til I tried recovering my walking after surgery then the light went on. well i did walk again eventually til my 2nd spinal surgery. I can stand and take a few steps - if i'm holding on to something stable and if there is light but basically i zoom around in my wheelchair. 2 drop feet is tricky. plus no balance nerves even trickier. add a slight double vision - well that leaves 1 good eye if i have enough light. i have nightlights all over the house. those are your 6 points of balance. 2 feet 2 balance nerves 2 eyes we can be very creative in compensating for loss. good thing we are all exceptionally brilliant. hugs, LynnBK
