I've also read Lawson's excellent book on Borderline Mothers. My mother and sister are both borderline personalities. It is bittersweet to say that I am so happy to find others that have lived through what I've lived through and there is a real reason why my family never seemed right to me. I'm a registered nurse and was also the caretaker of my BPD mother and sister and now disabled father. I lot of crazy things have happened but the final straw was when I got a Christmas card from them with a letter from an attorney stating that I was being written out of the will. I bought a home out of state because of a job change and that encouraged my mother and sister to disown me because I " left " them. (I'm 40 years old). I've always lived on my own since college but buying a house, and some other crazy things that BPD creates left me finally trying to really figure out what was going on. I'm glad you're all here.
