I was also wonderin high blood sugar may be contibuting also? My BS has been mildly out of control over the past few weeks. Mostly because I am concentratin on quitting smoking, 4 months smoke free after 45 years of trying to quit, and reducing my fat intake to the lowest level I can. Eating fat seems to make my itchng a lot worse. Thanks again BAP > > >Aubrey > > > > > > >
Guest guest
This symptom is very common in both chronic liver disease and inflammatory bowel disease. Both organs are involved in regulating your body heat. The metabolic function of both organs produce heat as a biproduct. It is thought that the gut is the main source of heat. And perhaps increased inflammation increases the warmth we feel and causes night sweats. When I had them and I still have them, at times, my gut seemed to be under good control. So you may not have any gut symptoms to go along with the night sweats. They are nasty and really manage to ruin your sleep. Aubrey
