Guest guest
All, I had these deficiencies when I was hypothyroid and had to have my thyroid taken out and I still have to juggle the medications. Also, pain medications can cause hypothyroidism over time and then in turn vitamin deficiencies. I had to take increased amounts of Vitamin D, Calcium, B12 and I had gotten anemia from the deficiencies. I go to an endocrinologist and they do look into that and the relationship of your thyroid or nutrition. If you do a google search for all three of these vitamins, minerals, you will find they are all correlated and one depends on the other to stay regulated. The one symptom I get and my endocrinologist told me to look for is numb lips and I so get that and numbness in my legs when my Vitamin D is low. So your pcp could refer you to a endocrinologist as they did some other tests to include homestatis type testing. Good Luck. You have reminded me to take my vitamins.
