I can't say I've ever heard of this in connection with IgAN. What's E45

cream? If it's anything like 1% hydrocortisone cream, I've always had good

success with that for just about any kind of rash. The 1% is prescription

only here, while the non-prescription .5% concentration isn't really strong

enough when I've had eczema. At one time, I was prone to having fungal

infections combined with eczema on my feet, and sometimes a bit on my hands.

My nephrologist prescribes a special compount of menthol & camphor in a

hydrocortisone based cream for the itching of renal failure. It feels great.

Purple rash is one of the common symptoms of HSP. Although I have been

diagnosed with HSP along with my IgAN, I have never had the purple rash, so I

can't say for sure if your experience is typical of the way a rash presents

with HSP. Maybe something to have checked out though.

Sorry, the last message was to say less thinning of the skin.Me and my 2

finger typing *sigh*. I make both hydrocotisone and betamethisone for the

pharmacies and

I have seen the effects of beta versus hydro. Beta is gentle .

I get the purple rash on my feet and ankles. Sometimes my scalp too. And

occasionally on my elbows. I've never gotten them on my fingers but it

wouldn't surprise me if I did, because fingers are " extremeties " like my

feet.

Hi All

Question? As mentioned below, I went to the hairdressers today, and

my hairdresser commented on the dark purple rash that was on my

scalp, now I have had this prior to IGAN, but interestingly I am now

getting scaley purple rashes in between my fingers.

If I did not know better I would say it looked like ringworm or

scabies perhaps, doesnt itch, and is nowhere else on me. I have

been putting E45 cream on my hands, to no avail. Comments welcome,

as this is a new thing to happen to me.

Thanks
