This made me laugh. If my potential M.I.L. did the same, I would have

fled for my life too...

Actually, come to think of it, I've fled for my life from my own Y.I.R.

(Yeti in Reality), so who the hell can blame them. I should have done it

way back when everyone else was doing it...
