Hi Pascal,

I don't know about that particular diet. The only caution I can give you is

to please make sure you speak to your Nephrologist and perhaps a dietitian

prior to beginning ANY diet. As has been said before, we all have different

dietary needs depending on where we are in the progression of our kidney

disease, and that requires individual consultation. For instance, I have had

problems with my potassium going too high the last couple of years, so I have

been on a low potassium diet. Recently, my phosphorus levels began creeping

up higher too, so now I need to watch phosphorus intake as well. One common

dietary restriction for many of us is low protein diet which some think may

help slow the progression of kidney disease.

It's not a renal diet, and anybody who has almost normal kidney function can

probably eat any diet if they want to, without any more benefit or harm than

the average person.

,I'am searching for long time the physiopathology of the IGAN

disease.

i think you know very well the IGAN DISEASE.

the mains factors in the IGAN disease :

1/exposition to a mucosal antigene

2/over production igA (moelle osseuse) and mucosal stomach

3/bad glycosylation IGA

I see in my medical story RECURRENT GENITAL HERPES and I kept 3 doses of

oral polio vaccine every month during 4 months in 1991 and 1993.

a famous french doctor called ERIC ALLAMARTINE wrote to me saying that no

vaccination was the cause of the IGAN DISEASE in all the world.

but i can't prove that oral antigenic dose vaccine was safety.

i concluse on IGAN disease is not an antigenic agression disease but an

aberrant immune response in our body in your immunity.

for me , is very difficult because i know only few people who kept tihs

vaccination protocole .

i heard that this protocole wav used in the US gay community to fight

recurrent herpes in the 80 years.

now , in the medical litterature nothing appear on this risk factor .

only i've read 2 abstracts about experimentation on mice and oral antigene

and experimental induced nephropatic iga.

my best neph said me i don't believe one factor caused only thre IGAN

disease.

I said too that tries animals are nor good for the human example.

I agree with your neph that there probably isn't just one factor involved

with IgAN. Whatever the cause is though, once we have it, we have it.

I not feel alone because the main problem is to be alone except your neph.

I know a french association called AIRG " ASSOCIATION OF INFORMATION on

KIDNEY GENETIC DISEASE

but i don't know a spécific association to IGAN disease.
