Bennie,

I'm not sure,with drawing workman's comp,that I should contact Social

Security yet. On May 1st it will be a year since my injury,I may have to wait

until then. Even so,I am hesitant.

Less than 10 yrs. ago,I was drawing SSI disability for anorexia, though I've

recovered from and also epilepsy. I drew from the time I was 23 to age 35. After

I recovered from anorexia I decided to try working again.

I must warn you before you do try to work, find out what the maximum salary you

can make. You don't want to do anything to mess up your disability. It may mean

working part-time as I did before finally going off disability. I was up for a

review at the time and I chose to forgo the review. I called Social Security and

told them that I wanted to try to work. The lady I spoke to was very polite

questioning my reason for giving up my disability. I told her that I wasn't

anorexic anymore and wanted to work. I was told that if I ever needed them again

to give em a call.

That was 11 yrs. ago. Up until May, I had the job I always wanted. I loved

taking care of the elderly and bringing a smile to their face. I miss my job

alot, but know I can never work in the health field again.

Do you have any furkids now? We have 10, including of course, our 3 yorkies. We

also have a rabbit, guinea pig, lovebird, parakeet and a cat. Lily, our cat,

lives outside the rest are in here with us. I love animals and hope to be a

veterinarian assistant someday. I took an on-line course with Ashworth

University this past summer and earned a diploma. I hope my back will let me do

that kind of work. What do you think?

Take care and write me

Donna
