Hello,

My name is and I was looking to see if there are many of you

who got addicted to a benzo drug like xanax after only 3 weeks of

daily doses?? I had alot of anxiety and stress over my health in July

so I took my xanax more than I usually do but only .5 or .25 1 time

daily mainly for sleep and after about 3 weeks I stopped and felt

horrible with more anxiety than to begin with, nausea, heart palps,

night sweats, and stomach cramping. I went to the doctor after about

4 or 5 days of no xanax and he said take klonopin if I need to take

xanax as much as I was, I guess he just did not get it, he said I

would not have been addicted after that short time and that small of

dose. I tried the klonopin for about 3 days only .5 or cut it in half

and I did not like it as well as xanax it gave me a weird headache

and i felt more drugged on it. I did not take anything once agisn for

3 or 4 days and the anxiety and all the other symptoms were there

again so the night I was feeling the worst I took a xanax .5 and felt

alot of relief. Then I did not take it for a couple days and insomnia

is just horribleso I decided to take it and gradually drop the dose

so the first night I did .5 as well as the second then for about 3

days I did .25 which seemed ok then I am now at half of a .25 dose

and that brought back some symptoms but not as bad as just not taking

any, I am useing unisom for the insomnia and it helps, I will I guess

do this dose of xanax for a few days and maybe go to every other day

next. I need advice on this and see how many out there got addicted

this fast and had the problem s I have, I did go see a different

doctor and she said some could get addicted this fast and to do a

gradual taper. Any help would be appreciated.
