When I got the little lift for my right shoe, I started out with a low

one and then moved to the higher one. If I'd used the higher one first

it would've been a mess! The PT tried it first and it felt awful!

I am laughing at the description of your shoes. Mine were in the 60's

as well (born in '64) but girls got red and boys got brown and they

had a scuff guard thing on the toe. Lace up oxfords. (I did get to

wear patent leather for that hour of sunday school and that hour of

church on sundays but that was it) Mine were heavy and ugly but they

really did feel good to my feet. I later discovered that if someone

gave me any trouble (I was very shy and quiet) I could kick the ever

lovin' crap out of them with one of those clodhoppers and it was

something they wouldn't soon forget!!
