The WTC attack happened on my watch, right outside my window. Right after the first plane hit, our mutual aid agreement with the Port Authority and FDNY kicked in. Our Special Ops and Support Service Units were sent over. It is with regret to announce, Jersey City Fire Dispatcher ph Lovero succumbed to injuries sustained while operating at the WTC disaster on Tuesday, September 11, 2001. Joe, a veteran dispatcher, Jersey City Fire Dept. Gong Club member, former EMT and freelance photographer, was caught in the collapse of the Twin Towers. Arrangements are as follows: Greenville Memorial Funeral Home, 374 Danforth Ave., Jersey City, NJ Monday 7pm-9pm & Tuesday 2p.m.- 9p.m. Funeral Mass at Mount Carmel Church Wednesday 9:30 a.m. Thanks, MATT ZIEMKIEWICZ Matt Ziemkiewicz is a dispatcher for JCFD and a supportive list member of the 911 Com Center of NJ at http://metrojersey.com/911nj.htm and has been one of my encouragers on the building of the site.
