Guest guest
Having been listserve active for about as long as there have been listserves, my strategy, for what it is worth: If there is any heat under a post, I drop it in my draft folder. If it seems worth sending 24 hours later, OK, I send it. Mostly though, I have many dozens of unsent emails in my draft folder....sometimes 3 or 4 responses to the same email. Only rarely do they ever end up being sent, and, when they do, they have usually been altered considerably. Mostly though, as Helena mentioned, the world got on just fine without my email. Over the years I have been really grateful for that draft folder and looking over some of the emails in there makes for amusing reading later on. This is not a formula for not contributing, just my way of reducing the " damn, I wish I had not sent that! " So, if there is heat: draft folder and wait 24 hours. warm regards (and wondering if the world really needs me to send this one;-) kelly G. 205 Peabody Building Psychology Department University of Mississippi Oxford, MS 38677 ph: fax: academic homepage: www.olemiss.edu/working/kwilson/kwilson.htm also check out www.onelifellc.com www.mindfulnessfortwo.com www.facebook.com/kellygwilson www.tastybehaviorism.com www.abnormalwootwoot.com
