Since this thread is currently in discussion, I think I will just chime in here. The treatment are usually involved some combination of tools such as the following:1. A combo of fibrinolytic and mucolytic enzymes: Nattokinase, Lumbrokinase, Serrapeptase, or Mucolase.2. Use Lactoferrin to bind up iron.3. Use vitamin K2 to bind up calcium. 4. If magnesium supplement is used, take it hours away from biofilm protocol. Some doctors recommend to stop supplementing iron, calcium and magnesium when on biofilm protocol. 5. Use disodium EDTA to chelate metals in order to punch holes in the biofilm.6. Chitosan is said to inhibit the formation of biofilm. We had some gains using Chitosan in the past.http://www.springerlink.com/content/d1jj063364625865/7. Treat Strep and/or Staph, if these two infections are present. Strep and Staph are particularly capable of producing slime for which other infections can hide within. (The natural alternative (a milder approach) is to use raw, unfiltered apply cider vinegar to replace EDTA, and manuka honey to replace biofilm enzymes.Hope this helps.Limin

Guest guest
In our case, my son is very yeasty-prone and many things can cause a flare-up. However, he does very well with ACV, which helps to alkalize his body. ACV is very rich in potassium. Biotin works quite effectively for him in preventing yeasts from turning into the fungal form. Of course, like many things we do, one size does not fit all. This is just experience sharing, not medical advice. Guest guest
Misty,I have the habit of checking his stools, his eyes, the colors of his palms and soles, and his tongue daily. His tongue usually has slightly red tongue body and no coating at all (fairly clean). I suppose that this can mean that he has too much heat or infections. (Slight white coating on the tongue is normal.)Over the weekend, I split a large bag of Jin Yin Hua (honeysuckle flower) with two friends. I will use it to make tea for my son. Honeysuckle flower is traditionally used for reducing inflammation (fire). It also has anti-parasitic property. My son is diarhea-prone and usually does not do well with anti-parastic herbs. I am just going to let him sip the tea in moderation. LiminLimin, thank you for your reply. its funny i didnt even know this was a current topic. Guest guest
Hey Limin, I would do the same thing. I dont know if you are open to taking him to a herbalist in the area. to maybe read his pulses and tongue. i would rule out damp spleen, perhaps. sometimes ,as you know parasites are an issue but thrive in an acidic environment. so getting the terrain right is what willl ultimately keep him well. i am currently working on eliminating cold foods and focusing on warmth . even though i have heat in my body its false heat. or damp heat rather. i am learning this is what might be facilitating overgrowth of pathogens in the gut. you might really enjoy the book body space medicine. he tells all about the tongue and his theory is tha tillness starts when there is an imbalance between the intracellular and extracellular toxins. its complex but really interesting zhi chin guo.
