Guest guest
Lyme can persist despite antibiotic treatment in dogs as well as humans. He probably needs at least another 30 days of doxy, since it seems to be helping him. Anne M., BSN, MSN/IH, RNmcfighter@... His personality has come back, however physically he has not. He is limping, first it was one paw, now it's his hindquarters too. I am wondering if die off from the doxy is causing a herx for him? I have an appt Monday at the vet, however I hoped some lyme expert here would know something about lyme in animals.Thanks!__________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 6065 (20110423) __________The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus.http://www.eset.com __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 6065 (20110423) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 6066 (20110423) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 6066 (20110423) __________The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus.http://www.eset.com
Guest guest
I heard thru a friend who works for a Lyme Association, that this universtiy, studies lyme in great detail in dogs. This is the only link I found, but there is a phone number listed on the article. http://instruction.cvhs.okstate.edu/kocan/ticks/tickok.htm > > Hi all, > My 8.5 y/o dog just finished a 30 day round of doxycycline. Guest guest
You can treat with straight CS in place of his normal water. If you are interested there is a good CS pets list at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SilverPets/ From: BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism [mailto:BorreliaMultipleInfectionsAndAutism ] On Behalf Of lisa lallySent: Saturday, April 23, 2011 7:44 AMTo: borrelia; lymestrategies Subject: OT and CrPost: dog with lyme, and limping Hi all, My 8.5 y/o dog just finished a 30 day round of doxycycline. Guest guest
My vet. gave me6-8 months of doxi for my dog with just a suspected lyme case. Your vet should also if you ask. I think it is well worth the seccurity of clearing those critters. There is no need to take any chances. Did they test for co-infections? They need to be taken care of also,in order to rid the Lyme. Good luck,Tammy F. Lyme can persist despite antibiotic treatment in dogs as well as humans. He probably needs at least another 30 days of doxy, since it seems to be helping him.
