Lyme can persist despite antibiotic treatment in dogs as well as humans. He probably needs at least another 30 days of doxy, since it seems to be helping him. Anne M., BSN, MSN/IH, RNmcfighter@... I heard thru a friend who works for a Lyme Association, that this universtiy,

studies lyme in great detail in dogs. This is the only link I found, but there

is a phone number listed on the article.

My vet. gave me6-8 months of doxi for my dog with just a suspected

lyme case. Your vet should also if you ask. I think it is well worth

the seccurity of clearing those critters. There is no need to take

any chances. Did they test for co-infections? They need to be taken

care of also,in order to rid the Lyme. Good luck,Tammy F.
